In Garage Stills, we see traditional garages for car repairs from around the whole world. The tools and other ‘raw’ objects have been arranged to form mysterious and poetic still lifes. All the garages seem to have the same stereotypical elements. It’s only when you look carefully that you discover small cultural differences in the details.
The old garages once stood for progress, but they're rapidly disappearing in the wake of new technologies. Today’s garages look more like science labs. The pictures taken using an analogue camera therefore also document a vanishing world.
