Real Time Confetti Clock

A clock usually just tells time. This one by Maarten Baas does much more.

Baas constructed several 12-hour performances for his Real Time series. Each work shows time going by, usually as someone performs a particular task. In Confetti Clock, piles of confetti are swept around to create the moving hands of a clock. Baas is often called an 'author-designer': someone who works on the fringe of art and design, combining installations, architecture and even performance.
