Bram Bogart (1921-2012)
untitled
1976 | lithograph | 83 × 83 cm
Bram Bogart’s prints are known for their basic shapes and colours. However, his style was changing all the time.
Originally a painter of people and landscapes, Bogart was also the father of ‘informal painting’ in the Netherlands, an expressive form of art where freedom and spontaneity are more important than painting a pretty picture.
