This red circle with a blue border represents just one of several stages in the work of Bram Bogart.

Bogart started out as a painter of people and landscapes before the Second World War. In the 1950s, his work became more experimental, leading to the use of basic shapes and colours in the 1960s and 1970s. After that, his style changed again, becoming more relaxed.
