Mainly out to create a shock in the 1980s, photographer Erwin Olaf has more recently turned to serenity and fragility as his main themes.
Olaf draws us into Hidden Curiosity through the placement of the model between the translucent wall panels, which create a frame within a frame. It’s difficult not to wonder who she is and what she’s doing, but everything’s so tranquil that it would seem impolite to ask.
