Roni Horn (1955)
Some Thames
2000 | Photograph printed on paper, UV lacquer | 71 x 103 x 5
Just when you think you’ve seen water in every way possible, along comes Roni Horn.
In this work, Horn displays 80 different colour photos of the surface of the River Thames in London. Water has infinite colours and reliefs that can be compared to different states of mind. It can be mysterious, soothing and meditative – even terrifying at times.
