Diergarten made this series of nine colourful beach huts in Tankerton, a suburb of the old seaside town of Whitstable in England. Diergarten photographed them all in the same way: straight from the front and with a small strip of grass in the foreground. He photographed similar series in Belgium, France and the Netherlands.
