An artist both online and offline, Rafaël Rozendaal feels that experiencing his art on the internet is like a waterfall, seeing one of his tapestries in a gallery is more like an aquarium.
Part of Rozendaal’s Abstract Browsing project, this tapestry was modelled on a screenshot of Google Calendar. He turns only a handful of the thousands of websites he visits into actual artworks. While the software he uses is fast and fluid, the process of weaving is the opposite.
