This portrait by Erwin Olaf shows Dutch model Ymre Stiekema in an 18th-century wedding dress – which she never wore.
Because the dress from the collection of the Rijksmuseum is so fragile, the model is not really wearing it in this photo. Olaf portrayed her as was customary in the 18th century: with the nipples almost showing. The pictures of the dress and model were then digitally combined.
