Nico Molenkamp communicates through form and colour. He says that every brushstroke must show what he’s feeling at that moment.
In this work, we see a standing figure with broad hunched shoulders and arms hanging down. There’s an angry look on its face. Molenkamp does not use many brushstrokes to portray this figure, but with his bold lines and expressive colour, he makes each and every one of them count.
