Dionisio González is interested in slums because they’re the part of a city that grows organically.
What intrigues him is the way materials discarded by carefully planned, prosperous areas of the city are recycled to build these dilapidated neighbourhoods. This work by González combines parts of photographs taken in Heliópolis, a favela in São Paulo (Brazil).
