The tragic-comic characters portrayed in this series of photographs raise the question: is all the world a stage?

Austrian artist Erwin Wurm has been making performance-based sculpture since the end of the 1980s. He connects people and everyday objects with the help of instructions, to create a participatory work. That results in humorous and unexpected photographs which challenge the traditional notion of sculpture.
