Koos van Keulen (1940)
Olga
2007 | oil paint on panel | 126 × 90 cm
Koos van Keulen's works are often quite simple. She creates a story by leaving things out.
This rear view of a woman – Olga – portrayed from the waist down makes it impossible to know exactly where she is or what she’s doing. The real communication here is between the three different patterns of skirt, floor and wall. The only accent of colour is the red of the woman's flip-flops.
