This little robot-like guy seems made of painted stones. If you lifted him up, though, you might be surprised.
Tom Claassen likes to play with our perception of space and materials. He has fun making stuff like polystyrene foam look solid or bronze sculptures look like compressed rags. A large version of The Hero can be seen on a public square in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands.
