One of the oldest companies in the Netherlands developed several new colours to give the biblical scenes on this service a makeover.
The age-old technique of making this kind of glazed pottery, which includes Delftware, allows only a small variety of colours. So when ceramics maker Royal Tichelaar Makkum created these new, vibrant colours, that was no small feat.
