Peter Bialobrzeski’s Lost in Transition series marks his long quest for beauty and meaning in rapidly industrialising metropolises.
Transition-12 shows an old building becoming engulfed by the advancing high-rise blocks. By varying the intensity of light and colour, Peter Bialobrzeski’s gives a face to a desolate landscape where new residents are not yet welcome. The lack of a place name suggests that this could be anywhere.
