Three women are depicted here: two reading, the other writing with the woman's braids above her. Susanna Inglada's work revolves around power relations, authority, corruption and gender inequality. In this case, it is specifically about the increasing power of women.
Because women now have more and more opportunities to acquire knowledge, they also have increasing access to power. With her work, Inglada wants to demonstrate that this will eventually bring the balance between men and women in balance, even if there is still a lot to be gained from this.
