Inez de Brauw is interested in how each generation gives new meaning to the spaces in which we live and work.
Like its companion piece, this painting shows the inside of ING’s new office in Haarlem (NL). By breaking it down into sections, De Brauw highlights the space’s interior design. While many of these aspects – such as a tile pattern or the shape of a lamp – are very ordinary today, there was a time when they were avant-garde.
