Born in the 1920s, Ger Lataster always moved with the times artistically. So with the 1980s in sight, he added silver colour to this painting.
Actually, Lataster had long been experimenting with metallic colours, mainly as spray paint, when he produced this work. Combined with greens, pinks and reds, this gave a touch of the romantic to the abstract-expressionist style he had developed and ushered in a period of more figurative work.
