Although the artist wanted to have some fun with this work, he also finds it important to keep up with the times. He follows the beliefs of the Roman philosophers, who said you should focus your time and energy on that which you can change and not on everything that is beyond your control. Ryan Gander's work is extremely varied because he feels that each message needs to be expressed by a different material.
