Mick Jagger

"I wish I were like Mick. He's a somebody. I'm a nobody." That was how quiet, shy Andy Warhol expressed his admiration for Mick Jagger's charisma and high spirits.
This portrait dates back to 1975, twelve years after Warhol befriended the singer of The Rolling Stones. Earlier, in 1972, Jagger had asked Warhol to design a band logo. Since then, the well-known red lips with a lapping tongue have graced every new album cover by the band.
