John Riddy (1959)
Maputo (train)
2002 | C-print | 46 × 60 cm
John Riddy is interested in the passing of time, which is of special importance to train passengers. So why take a picture of an empty station?
To Riddy, this empty space is a stage for all sorts of action. He captures the calm before the storm which will burst in a couple of minutes when the train, which can just barely be seen under the arches, departs.
